Karst Climber is one of the pioneers of rock climbing in Yangshuo, and has introduced more than 300 groups to the stunning climbing opportunities offered by China's Mecca of the sport. The club was established in 2000 and provides a wide range of climbing trips, offering professional climbing services and guides. Our English and Chinese speaking guides cater to all skill levels so whether you are an old hand or just want to try your hand at something new, Karst Climber is the first stop when exploring this unique part of the world.
Yangshuo County, near Guilin City in Guangxi province is one of the most famous scenic spots in southern China. 70,000 karst towers of tropical limestone scattered along the Li River attract many adventurous tourists, cavers and climbers every year. They contribute to the small but growing band who make Yangshuo the up and coming sport climbing centre of China.
Since the first route was set up on Moon Hill in 1990, over 400 routes have been bolted to date, with grades ranging from 5.4 to 5.15 (US). But this is just the tip of the iceberg and there still remains huge potential for opening of new opportunities.
